Description


A new work experience programme designed for students who are currently studying or have previous training or experience in the Tourism Industry. This course prepares students for the LCCI Certificate in Written English for Tourism (WEFT) Level 1 whilst gaining valuable work experience in the Tourism industry in the UK. This course would suit desk & reception staff in travel agencies, airlines, tour operators, tourist information centres and any other tourism outlets. The WEFT examination is taken at the end of the course and reflects the materials most commonly used in the tourism industry such as booking forms, maps and timetables.

COURSE CONTENT • General English + English for Tourism • Examination Preparation for the LCCI Written English for Tourism Level 1 certificate WORK EXPERIENCE • Work placement within the Bournemouth area in the Tourism Industry • Hours specified by the placement provider (usually a full time position) • National Minimum Wage • Self-catering, rooms only, accommodation arranged by English 2000 COURSE ACCREDITATION Students successfully completing the course obtain: • An English 2000 Language Certificate • LCCI Certificate in Written English for Tourism (WEFT) Level 1 certificate £40 • The University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Certificate in Work Experience (optional) £100 • The Test of English for International Communication TOEIC (optional) £65 • A work reference from the placement provider (if required)
