Senior Course (15-20)

Echo Language School

Description

All Senior Students have three hours of morning classes. These generally encompass grammar, vocabulary building and functional language. Students have the chance to do a lot of speaking in class, building their confidence to use the language in the afternoons and evenings. Two afternoons are also spent in class, with extended homework projects based on the classes. This is the time our students can work with longer reading texts or improve their writing. Senior Students have sport and social programmes on three afternoons of the week. These are loosely planned with one sports afternoon, one cultural afternoon and one project afternoon. The afternoons may include football and cooking or trips into Brighton and Hove for the museums and shops. Evening programmes include billiard-hall visits, student theatre productions and the cinema. There is a weekly 'project' to encourage everyone to work with students from different classes, usually either designing a poster- presentation or making a film. On Saturday there is an excursion, alternating between London and another famous city, for example Canterbury or Portsmouth.
