Description


Offering a choice of 15, 20 or 30 hours per week, each lesson is of 55 minutes duration and is conducted by a qualified and experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language. Students follow a structured first day which includes an orientation and induction session, introducing them to the school, Ilfracombe and its surroundings. A detailed assessment of ability is made followed by a thorough Needs Analysis and the academic programme is subsequently negotiated between student and teacher. This ensures that lesson content is as diagnostic as possible providing a syllabus to enable successful achievement of the client's individual aims and objectives. Whether it be general English or more specific requirements such as telephoning, presentation, meeting or negotiating skills, we provide a genuinely personalised course which can be fitted in and around the client's other responsibilities. In addition, Channel School teachers are always available to advise on the best way of continuing their studies on their return home. Materials and resources are modern with video camera and computers available.
