General Info
The Cambridge Academy of English is an international centre and attracts students of all ages and nationalities who wish to learn English in a friendly, hard-working environment. We are located in a comfortable and safe residential area on the outskirts of Cambridge, England. Cambridge is famous around the world for its university and its beautiful buildings. It is also an excellent place to study and learn English. We aim to offer every student who comes to the Cambridge Academy of English not just classes in English as a foreign language, but a full experience of English life and culture. Since 1975, we have welcomed more than 14,000 people from over 75 different countries. We look forward to welcoming you on one of our courses soon.
Accommodation Info
Most of our adult students live with carefully selected hosts close to CAE – either within 30 minutes walk or less than a 5 minute bus ride from school. Students buy a weekly bus ticket for under £10. Being a guest in a homestay is an excellent opportunity to speak English. Lesley Tabor, our Accommodation Officer knows all our hosts well, and they will be carefully selected to suit your individual needs. You will be sent a profile of the homestay chosen for you about two weeks before you come. We also offer Rooms with own facilities for students studying in CAE Professional Centre. Student Residential (self-catering) accommodation for adults 18+ available for students studying 12 weeks or more. Summer residential accommodation for adults 18+ at one of the Cambridge University Colleges. Teenage Residential (14-16 years) Courses at Princess Helena College. Children’s Residential (9-13 years old) Courses at Moreton Hall
