Additional Info
Juniors aged 13 and over who are not in London with their parents are expected to make their own way between the School and their homestay. They should arrive at the school at 8.50 am and leave school, to return to their homestay, after lessons or supervised activities (if applicable). Those not going directly to the homestay must inform their host in advance. Juniors age 13 and over are allowed to go out unsupervised in the evenings and at weekends provided that they tell the homestay host where they are going and with whom. They must return to the home by 10pm every evening and at a mutually-agreed time during the day. If they fail to return to the homestay by the agreed time they will be given a warning, and, if it happens again, they will be will not be allowed out unsupervised in the future. Students are expected to be present at all classes and activities and registers will be taken to record attendance. If students are absent at any time for either the whole, or part of, a day, the school will endeavour to establish why and record the reason. Fortnightly reports will be made about students by their teacher, with possible additional comments by the BPS. These will outline the student's behaviour and progress. Students staying without their parents in Burlington accommodation may also receive a report form the Homestay Host. Reports and attendance details will be sent to parents on the completion of the Junior's course. There is a £16 book fee per student, per term. Books can be bought from the school office before starting a course.
