The Science & Technology programmes are best suited to participants with a minimum Intermediate level of English on entry (IELTS 4.5), who are seeking a professional skills programme specialising in English, science & technology. The courses are aimed at young professionals and students who are seeking a career or further study science, technology and engineering-related fields and require proficiency in English. These courses lead to BBSI and NCFE awards. Diploma The 36-week (3-term) diploma course (DST 36) comprises 26 lessons weekly. The course includes all 3 terms described and leads to BBSI and NCFE awards. The minimum language proficiency for entry is IELTS 4.5. Course Content Term 1: Weeks 1-12 20 lessons English language communication skills 6 lessons science foundation in physics, chemistry and biology 4 lessons in IT skills or IELTS Examination Preparation/Academic Study Skills (UST only) Term 2: Weeks 13-24 16 lessons English language communication skills 10 lessons science & technology 4 lessons in IELTS Examination Preparation/Academic Study Skills (UST only) Term 3: Weeks 25-36 16 lessons English language communication skills 10 lessons science & technology 4 lessons in IELTS Examination Preparation/Academic Study Skills (UST only)
