At Bloomsbury International, we offer a range of Virgin Atlantic travel and GDS (Global Distribution System) courses leading to the valuable, professional qualifications and the 30 IATA points that are needed for successful career in the travel industry. (IATA approved travel agencies must have a total of 40 points, with 30 being the maximum number that can be held by any one person.) Leading to Virgin Atlantic Airways and GDS (Galileo, Sabre, Amadeus, Worldspan or Apollo) qualifications, (which are recognised throughout the travel industry and which can be used for employment with any major airline or travel agency in the world.), these courses are designed for those people who aspire to the top jobs in the travel industry. With materials prepared by Virgin Atlantic's in-house training team, and delivery from our own experienced tutors with IATA qualifications, you will be on course for a successful future. This 50-hour course equips industry entrants with a thorough knowledge and understanding of any of the GDS. At Bloomsbury International, we train students on the GDS via more than 20 high-speed 'flat screen' computer terminals in our modern & comfortable computer lab or alternatively, students have the freedom to take the course online which gives them the flexibility to study at home. GDS (£275 for 50 hours) Galileo, Sabre, Amadeus, Worldspan & Apollo are Global Distribution System (GDS) used by travel agencies and airlines to confirm reservations for airline seats, hotel rooms, car hire etc. using advanced computer technology.
