General Info


The centre is an impressive Vic torian building set in spacious grounds with traditional gardens. It’s the only Bell centre to offer on-site residential accommodation. Bell Saffron Walden has 34 classrooms, a Study Centre, Multimedia Centre, and restaurant. Bell Saffron Walden is just a ten minute walk from the town centre. Saffron Walden is approximately 20 minutes to Cambridge and an hour from London. Saffron Walden is a pretty market town set in the Essex countryside, and only a short distance from Cambridge. The town has a unique character with hundreds of historic buildings, many dating back to medieval times. Audley End House, a stunning Jacobean mansion with beautiful gardens, is situated just outside the town. Saffron Walden has interesting shops and a bustling open-air market in the town square. There is also a good selection of pubs and bars, as well as delightful tearooms and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Extensive sporting facilities are available on-site including a football pitch, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, and a gym. There is also a large sports centre just a five minute walk away.
