Course Fee £500 This course consists of 4 weeks pre-course eLearning, one week of training in Scarborough and a post-course eLearning phase. The course aims to increase intercultural awareness and prepare participants for working with partners and students from other cultural backgrounds. Training sessions can include: Language and culture Cultural profiling Cultural dimensions Managing cultural clashes Critical incidents in the intercultural classroom Best practice for intercultural meetings The course also allows participants to practise English while networking with other teachers, teacher trainers and educational managers who may be working on EU projects. Developing Intercultural Competence in a European Context is listed as a recognised training course in the Comenius - Grundtvig Training Database. Successful funding applications will cover course fees, homestay accommodation, travel and expenses. Applications for funding for this course are invited through your through your National Agency .
